Who We Are
WAMATA is a dynamic HIV/AIDS organization committed to empowering communities and fostering sustainable solutions to combat the epidemic. Our focus areas include:
- Strengthening the HIV/AIDS ecosystem to enable community-driven decision-making at the sub-national level.
- Developing human resources for health within communities to implement and supervise prevention, care, and support programs.
- Enhancing HIV/AIDS epidemic response to reduce new infections and improve services for those living with or affected by HIV/AIDS.
- Creating opportunities for sustainable improvements in health and social well-being, including income generation and asset building.
- Promoting research and innovation that utilizes HIV/AIDS data to address community needs.
- Enhancing WAMATA’s capacity to effectively and efficiently fulfill our mission.
